This summer marks a significant transition at EPCOT, as the Joy Meet and Greet experience found in the Imagination Pavilion will be drawing to a close, and moving to Hollywood Studios starting June 10th, 2024.

The interactive opportunity for guests to meet Joy, a central character from Disney-Pixar’s “Inside Out,” has been a highlight for many visiting EPCOT, but the character meet & greet will be switching parks. This addition to Hollywood Studios will align with the anticipated release of “Inside Out 2,” promising guests an opportunity to interact closely with her, starting June 10th, in Pixar Plaza.
Inside Out 2 Release Date
The timing of Joy’s introduction to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is no coincidence. With “Inside Out 2” set to premiere in theaters on June 14th, just days after Joy’s debut, fans will have a chance to interact with one of the movie’s main characters prior to the film’s release. In addition to meeting Joy, guests can also look forward to new Pixar merchandise available at the Beverly Sunset Boutique.
Pixar Plaza
Pixar Plaza, which is located near the entrance to Toy Story Land and just past the Walt Disney Presents theaters, has previously welcomed characters from “The Incredibles” and “Monsters, Inc.”

Additional Festivities on June 10th
June 10th is shaping up to be a significant day for Walt Disney World, with several other notable events scheduled. CommuniCore Hall and Plaza are slated to open, and a limited-time “Encanto” show will make its debut. Moreover, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will kick off the 30th-anniversary celebration of “The Lion King,” adding to the festivities across the resort.
