In my eyes, it’s indisputable. Walt Disney World is the absolute best place to have a date night! Going there for a night with your loved one, well the magic is just unmatched! Any vibe you are going for, whether it’s a romantic night out or just for the sake of spending time together, you’ll not regret choosing Disney. If you’re here on a vacation or maybe even a local, I’ll run down each park showcasing what I think is the best way to go about Disney date night! Next on our list is Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Dining
My absolute favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World is The Hollywood Brown Derby. This fine-dining table service location is based on the original restuarant from the Golden Age of Hollywood. You truly have not lived until you’ve indulged in a cocktail here, accompanied by their world famous Cobb Salad. A relatively light meal depending on what cuisine you choose leaves you with plenty of energy to take on the park’s assortment of thrill rides after dinner.
If you’re looking for something more casual, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano serves Italian food with a California twist. Mama Melrose is set to be closing soon to make way for the Monsters Inc. themed land, so be sure to check this one out before it closes. If you and your date have agreed on eating at quick service, you can’t go wrong with the most romantic of them all – Pizzerizzo. While I’m only half kidding, the ambience of Pizzerizzo is extremely charming. The upstairs of this quick service is home to the infamous “Wedding Room”, a small banquet hall type room with a discoball and some classic wedding tunes. Pizzerizzo is also set to close to make way for Monsters Inc in the coming year, so definitely check this out soon.
Attractions
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to the biggest concentration of thrill rides at Walt Disney World. Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like being launched at 58mph in 3 seconds on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, or being dropped multiple stories on The Tower of Terror! A night of joyful screams is quite the way to bond, or maybe some friendly competition? In my experience, some lighthearted trash talk before a game of Toy Story Mania during a Hollywood Studios date makes the evening a lot more fun! Make it a game, whoever wins buys ice cream!
Heading over to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, flying the biggest hunk of junk in the galaxy with your loved one is an experience like no other! Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a few different nighttime shows, but the one you absolutely should not miss is Fantasmic. It is incredibly magical and emotional. One of my first dates with my significant other, we went to go see Fantasmic, truly one of my fondest memories. Looking over at the person you care about as Mickey concludes his fantastic dream and fireworks iluminate the air? In my opinion, there’s no better way to end a Disney date at any of the four parks.
At the end of the day, nobody knows your connection like you two! No matter what you end up doing, it’ll be special because you’re creating memories only you two could make. I would love to hear about your most memorable Disney date in the comments!
