Disney World is an incredible place to visit any time of year, but especially during the holiday season. There is holiday fun to be had throughout all 4 parks and Disney Springs, but perhaps the most magical park to experience during the holidays is Magic Kingdom. This classic park is decorated to perfection each year, and with holiday offerings both traditional and new guests will never tire of their Christmas spirit. There are several holiday experiences to be had within Magic Kingdom. Here are a few things to do during the holiday season of 2024.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
On select nights in November and December, a separate ticketed event is offered for guests of Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a magical event that takes place from 7pm until midnight. Interested guests should purchase tickets for this event as soon as they are able to. Guests can enjoy offerings that aren’t available during regular park hours including special holiday treats that are included with the cost of admission, as well as seasonal beverages. Guests can also enjoy photo spots and photo opportunities decorated to holiday perfection. It will even “snow” on Main Street. Characters will roam throughout the parks dressed in their holiday clothing, and a Christmas stage show will take place in front of Cinderella Castle. Guests can witness Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas parade, and view Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.
Frozen Holiday Surprise
There is still much to see and do for guests who aren’t attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Every night on the Cinderella Castle stage at 6:15pm, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf celebrate the season by decorating the castle. This show lasts for approximately 7 minutes and leaves the castle glimmering with lights. Guests who aren’t staying for the party can enjoy this experience before leaving the park.
Jingle Cruise
One beloved Magic Kingdom attraction gets a special holiday makeover. Jungle Cruise, located in Adventureland, is an exciting boat ride through the jungle. During the holiday season the attraction has a holiday overlay. Everything from the Skippers and boats to the animals and scenery are decked out in their holiday best. This attraction gets quite popular so be prepared to wait in line.
Park Decor
Magic Kingdom is well-known for its seasonal decor and the holiday season is no exception. The entire park will have holiday touches but most decor can be found on Main Street U.S.A. and near the castle. Christmas trees can be found throughout Magic Kingdom and throughout Disney World in general. Holiday decor can be viewed both during the day and at night, and when guests have seen all there is to see at the park they can hop on the monorail and explore some of the resort decor as well!
