Disneyland Resort has revealed exciting plans for an expansion of the Haunted Mansion grounds and the introduction of a new retail store in 2024. Each garden will have unique elements that range from an ornate water fountain and a picturesque gazebo to themed statuary and meticulously designed landscaping. One particularly intriguing highlight is the new greenhouse where the dedicated groundskeepers of the Haunted Mansion cultivate their plants. Fans of the classic pet cemetery and the horse-drawn funeral hearse need not worry, as these iconic elements will continue to reside on the attraction’s grounds.

In addition to the expanded grounds, Disneyland is also introducing a standalone retail shop centered around the mystical Madame Leota. This shop, located in the mansion’s carriage house, promises to extend Madame Leota’s captivating presence beyond the eerie walls of the Haunted Mansion. While details remain under wraps, Disneyland hints at a future announcement that fans are sure to be “dying” to hear.

The expansion plan also includes enhancements to the plaza adjacent to Tiana’s Palace. This area, steeped in memories and history, will be transformed into an elegant park-like setting. Here, visitors can relax and enjoy live entertainment under the shade of both new and historic trees.

Construction for these additions is set to commence in January 2024. During this time, Disneyland also aims to improve the accessibility of these areas. One such improvement is a new elevator exit from the Haunted Mansion specifically designed for guests with disabilities.

So, gear up for a spookier and more immersive Haunted Mansion experience coming to Disneyland in 2024.
