Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be celebrating it’s 30th year anniversary next year, and while the resort is an absolutely stunning backdrop for any Disney Vacation, the lobby has remained largely the same since its opening. Disney Parks blog has just confirmed that the lobby of the Grand Floridian is set to receive an overhaul next year, which aims to bring the lobby in line with the decor updates that you will see around the resort recently.
A Grand New Decor
This is great news for both owners and renters of the Grand Floridian, as Disney’s new direction for decor is an excellent mix of victorian charm and Disney magic with a touch of modern taste. You can get a good idea of what decor is coming to the lobby next year by sneaking a peak at the Big Pine Key Building, or any of the new DVC resort studio rooms within it. If you’d like to get an in-depth view of one of these rooms, you can check out our video and article that tours one of the new resort studios at Grand Floridian.
Modern, But Classic
In the recent post on the Disney Parks blog, Disney has assured fans of the Grand Floridian that they will continue to stick to the beloved classic theming of the resort, while modernizing it’s decor for the next generation of guests.
So, all in all, it’s quite an exciting time to own your home resort at Grand Floridian, or rent from an owner to experience this flagship Disney resort.
Between the incredible dining, the impeccable service, and unmatched magic, you don’t ever need to second guess planning a trip to Grand Floridian. If you’d like to view confirmed reservations for rent at Disney’s Grand Floridian, you can experience Disney’s Deluxe resorts for less, even without being a DVC member!
