There is, however, one way that you can guarantee a good seating area without having to line up hours in advance. This can be done by getting a Fantasmic! Dining Package. These dining reservations are a little different than your standard dining in the park, so we have compiled a list of everything you need to know about Fantasmic! Dining Packages so that you can make the decision best for your vacation.
What Is The Fantasmic! Dining Package
The Fantasmic! Dinimg Package is a reservation that offers guests a meal at one of the participating restaurants in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and seats in the reserved seating area of the Fantasmic! amphitheater. It provides guests not only the meal, but the ability to not have to wait long in line to get good seating for the show. Guests can expect to wait closer to 30-45 minutes instead of 60-90 minutes.

What You Get
When you purchase the Fantasmic! Dining Package you will receive the following:
- Entree
- Appetizer or Dessert
- Non-alcoholic Beverage
- VIP seating voucher
In the event that the restaurant chosen is a buffet, the cost covers one full buffet, instead of the entree and appetizer/dessert.

The cost for the Fantasmic! Dining Package will depend on which of the restaurants you book your reservation at. The following includes the restaurants and their prices.
Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano
Mama Melrose Ristorante Italiano is an Italian restaurant and the cost for the Fantasmic! Dining Package here is:
- $54.00 per adult (ages 10 and older)
- $22.00 per child (ages 9 and under)
Hollywood Brown Derby
Old Hollywood ambience and American food classics at Hollywood Brown Derby will cost you the following:
- $73.00 per adult (ages 10 and older)
- $29.00 per child (ages 9 and under)
50’s Prime Time Cafe
Enjoy old school food at 50’s Prime Time Cafe in an authentic 50’s diner for the following price:
- $51.00 per adult (ages 10 and older)

Hollywood & Vine
Hollywood & Vine is the only character dining and buffet experience on the list of Fantasmic! Dining Packages. Breakfast is the cheaper option and features Disney Junior characters, while dinner characters include Minnie and friends. It is important to note that the Fantasmic! Dining Package must be booked using a credit card in order to guarantee the reservation. Guests are also subject to a $10 cancellation fee if the experience is not cancelled ahead of time.
Be sure to check into the restaurant you booked 10 minutes prior to your reservation. After your meal is complete you will receive your Fantasmic! Dining Package VIP seating voucher for that evening.
This price does not include theme park tickets or reservations, so make sure that you book both of those prior to your reservation to guarantee entry into the park for your reservation.
Can I Use A Discount?
Unfortunately, guests are not able to use their Disney Vacation Club or Annual Pass discounts with the Fantasmic! Dining Package.
How To Book the Fantasmic Dining Experience
Reservations for the Fantasmic! Dining Experience can be made up to 60 days in advance of your visit. You are able to book in the following ways:

Be sure to book as soon as you are able and check frequently for reservations. To experience this specialty dining package you are required to have reservations.
Although booking out early can be difficult, if the dining package is something you hope to do on your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, be sure to check the app for reservations early on the morning you want to go. Many people drop their reservations in the morning and you will most likely have a lot to choose from.
Where Do I Check In For The Show?
After your meal you will be checking into the show on Sunset Boulevard right next to Beauty & The Beast Live On Stage. You will see the long line for entry, and then a sign that says “Packages” with an arrow pointing to a lane on the left of that long line.
Guests are allowed to enter up to 90 minutes prior to the start of the show. You will need to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to show time in order to be allowed into the reserved section. Again, if you arrive less than 30 minutes prior to the start of Fantasmic! you will not be allowed to sit in the reserved section, even though you purchased the dining package.
Will My Fantasmic! Seating Be Reserved?
The individual seats for Fantasmic! are not reserved, only the seating area. All seats are on a first come, first serve basis. So although you don’t need to wait in a long line to get good seats, the best seats will be available earlier in the evening, so getting there somewhat earlier may be a good idea. However, we have seen seats in the first row available at the 30 minute cut off time.
Where Are The Seats?
The reserved section is directly in the middle of the amphitheater. The seats are designed to give everyone as much of an equal view as possible, but if you end up in the first 5 or 6 rows, you may get wet! This is mostly dependent on the wind for the day.
Can I Book The Dining Package For The Second Show?
Occasionally Fantasmic! offers two showings per night. However, the Fantasmic! Dining Package is only available for the first show of the night.
Is It Worth It?
