Exploring Frontierland – Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom‘s Frontierland is one of the 6 distinct lands that Magic Kingdom has to offer. Walt Disney was a lover of the American frontier, and this idealized version of the past is full of magic and fun. Guests will love adventuring in Frontierland because of its many attractions, unique food and beverage opportunities, and overall sense of spirit and adventure. Join us as we explore Frontierland!

Attractions

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad– The “wildest ride in the wilderness” has been thrilling guests since the park’s opening in 1971. This roller coaster is for guests 40 inches or taller and takes guests on a wild train ride through the west.

Tom Sawyer Island– This immersive attraction is like an amusement park in itself. Tom Sawyer Island is a raft ride away, and allows guests to explore at their own pace. Guests can navigate caves, mines, forts, as well as cross rickety bridges and experience nature.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure– Frontierland’s newest attraction opens to the public on June 28th. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a log flume ride for guests 40 inches or taller. Guests join Tiana as she puts together a critter band for a celebration at her restaurant.

Walt Disney World Railroad– The Walt Disney World Railroad travels throughout Magic Kingdom and has three stops, one of which is located in Frontierland. Guests are transported on a real steam engine train for this experience and can use the train as a method of traveling throughout the park.

Food and Drink

The Diamond Horseshoe– This sit-down restaurant features dinner and a shoe. Guests are served from the delicious menu of Liberty Tree Tavern as they are treated to a music hall performance.

Golden Oak Outpost– This snack stand serves chili cheese fries and chicken strips, as well as warm chocolate chip cookies and fountain beverages.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe– This quick-service restaurant gives guests a taste of the old west with its BBQ burgers, fajitas, carnitas rice bowls, and more.

Westward Ho- This unique snack stand serves breakfast favorites like biscuit breakfast sandwiches, and candied bacon and corn dog nuggets for lunch and dinner.

Entertainment and Other Experiences

Adventure Cavalcade– Frontierland is a great place to catch the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, currently running at 10:30am and 11:45am! The cavalcade moves through Frontierland and down Main Street U.S.A.

Frontierland Hoedown Happening-Occasionally, an unscheduled hoedown will take place on the streets of Frontierland. Grab your dancing partner and get ready to move!

Characters- Guests can find the Country Bear characters wandering throughout Frontierland occasionally throughout the day.
