The Return Of A Disney Classic
Soarin’ Over California debuted at Disney California Adventure in 2001, taking visitors on an aerial journey over the Golden State’s iconic landscapes and landmarks. The ride later made its way to EPCOT in 2005, becoming an instant hit among visitors for its breathtaking vistas and immersive sensory experience. In 2016, it was replaced by Soarin’ Around the World, a global adventure that took riders over some of the world’s most famous landmarks.
Celebrating Disney’s 100th Anniversary
However, as part of Disney’s 100th anniversary celebration, it was announced at the recent D23 convention that the original Soarin’ Over California would make a triumphant return. While the original version has made temporary comebacks at Disney California Adventure before, this is the first time it will be returning to EPCOT.
