New Changes Streamline Disney’s Virtual Queues

Rise of the Resistance Updated Virtual Queue

Virtual Queues have become a common occurrence in the Disney parks with new or high demand attractions. It can be a frustrating process, especially if you or the rest of your party is not able to land a boarding group. However, Disney has recently implemented a new change that streamlines Disney’s Virtual Queues.

This change to the Virtual Queue system will allow guests to confirm their party up to an hour before joining the queue. Previously, guests would hit the Join button for the Virtual Queue of the attraction at 7:00 AM or 1:00 PM and then confirm their party on the next page. Those who have ever attempted to join the Virtual Queues will know that these precious seconds of checking that your party is all included could be the difference between getting on the ride or not.

Now guests can go onto the My Disney Experience app and confirm their party as early as 6:00 AM. Guests will be able to confirm their party any time between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, so there is also no need to wake up an hour earlier either.

This change applies to the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queues in both Disneyland and Disney World, as well as the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure at Disney’s California Adventure.

As you can see, the app now also includes instructions to refresh the Virtual Queue page at 7:00 AM to join the queue. This little tip will also help increase guests’ chances of enjoying the attraction.

These changes may be small, but will streamline the process and possibly even increase your odds of joining the Virtual Queue. What do you think about these new changes to Disney’s Virtual Queue System? Do you think that confirming your party first makes more sense? Let us know in the comments below!
