Disney World’s Website Gets a New Look: What Changed and What’s Coming

If you have visited DisneyWorld.com recently, you may have noticed the site looks a little different. Walt Disney World has started rolling out a set of visual and functional updates, beginning with a redesigned navigation bar and a cleaner homepage. The changes are subtle in some places and more noticeable in others, and they appear to be the first step in a larger planning experience overhaul. Here is a breakdown of what has changed so far and what Disney has said is still on the way.

A More Condensed Navigation Bar

The most visible change sits right at the top of the page, and it shows up across the entire site rather than just the homepage. Previously, a slim utility bar ran above the main navigation. It held a link to Disney.com, an account welcome message with a sign-out link, a country and language selector, and a search bar.

That utility bar is now gone. In its place is a single, streamlined navigation bar. It features the Walt Disney World wordmark alongside links for Parks, Tickets & Passes, Places to Stay, and Dining. My Plans, a cart icon, and a search icon finish out the row. This condensed bar now appears on interior park, resort, and dining pages as well, though those pages otherwise keep their previous layout for now.

The Redesigned Parks Dropdown

The updated structure carries into the Parks dropdown menu, which is now organized into three columns. This makes it easier to scan and find what you are looking for.

The first column, Explore Our Parks, lists Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Water Parks, and Park Hours & Schedules. The second column, Things to Do, covers Attractions & Entertainment, Character Experiences, Events & Tours, and Shops, with a More to Explore section below for Disney Springs and Latest Park Merchandise. The third column features promotional image cards, which at the moment highlight seasonal offerings like Cool Kids’ Summer and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Changes to the My Plans Menu

The My Plans dropdown follows the same organized approach. Rather than a simple list, the menu now groups related items into clear sections.

At the top, you will find Theme Park Reservations and Make a Reservation. Below that is an Annual Passholders section covering Perks & Discounts and a Blockout Calendar. A My Profile section handles Account Settings & Preferences, MagicBands, and Notifications, while My Photos links to the Photo Gallery. A Sign Out option sits at the bottom. For anyone juggling multiple parts of a trip, this grouping should make it quicker to reach the right tool.

A Simplified Homepage Hero

The homepage carries one more change beyond the navigation bar. In the past, a Build Your Vacation module stayed pinned over the hero image at all times. It included visible date pickers, adult and child counters, and a green View Rates button, with two pill-shaped buttons for tickets and resort hotels sitting below the text.

None of that overlays the image anymore. Booking now takes place in a module positioned below the hero image, with tabs for Hotels & Packages and Tickets & Passes. A short Pro tip line about booking a room-and-ticket package sits underneath. The result is a cleaner top-of-page view, and the booking flow now reads as its own step rather than something layered over a photo.

Part of a Larger Planning Overhaul

These updates line up with a website overhaul Disney previewed to media back in June 2026. At that time, Disney announced a new planning experience built around flexible date-range search, side-by-side resort comparison, AI-generated resort summaries, and a pricing and availability calendar.

None of those four features appear to be live yet. The current changes are focused on the look and structure of the navigation and homepage, while pages beyond the homepage still reflect the prior design. Disney has said the new experience would roll out gradually over the coming months, with Walt Disney World receiving the updates first. No specific launch dates were announced for the additional tools.

Final Thoughts

The current updates to DisneyWorld.com are a first step rather than a complete transformation. A condensed navigation bar, reorganized Parks and My Plans menus, and a cleaner homepage hero point toward a more focused planning experience. With additional features like flexible date search and resort comparison still to come, it is worth checking back as more of the site, and eventually the My Disney Experience app, receives updates.
