Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar Returns
Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar is back for a second year, running now through November 9th. The bar leans into vintage Halloween decor that fits the 1940s setting of the Indiana Jones character it is themed around, right down to the music. Much of the menu is new this year, so there is a good reason to stop in even if you visited last season.
Seating is first-come, first-served, and the decorations continue out onto the patio. Here are some of the food and drink options you will find:
- Skull and Sour ($19): A whiskey sour made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Bols Peach Schnapps Liqueur, lemon juice, and pumpkin spice syrup, topped with green apple juice-filled pears and gummy strands.
- Midnight Relic ($18): A martini with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, ube syrup, cream of coconut, lemon juice, and edible glitter.
- Candelabra Eggs ($18): A deviled egg dyed with beet juice, served with crispy fried chicken, a sweet-and-tart pepper sauce, and Aji Amarillo custard.
- Bone Kebabs ($17): Pork and beef kebabs shaped to resemble bones, with prosciutto, creamy tomato sauce, and Kataifi straws.
- Alien Invader Sliders ($17): A returning favorite of Nashville hot fried chicken, provolone, and dill pickle on a cheddar-chive biscuit, served this year on a silver UFO.
Sweet Stops for Halloween Treats
Beyond the Hangar Bar, a few dining locations have added seasonal sweets worth planning around.
At The Ganachery, the Haunted Mansion Portrait Bars ($18) include four chocolate ganache bars in chipotle, raspberry, salted caramel, and passion fruit flavors. The detailed packaging makes them a nice option to bring home or give as a gift.
Amorette’s Patisserie offers a Halloween Cookie ($5), a chocolate chip cookie loaded with pretzel pieces, toffee, milk and dark chocolate chips, and a chocolate coin. Given its size and gooey center, it is one of the more affordable treats you will find in the area.
Goofy’s Candy Co. now features the same make-your-own candied popcorn found at The Confectionary in Magic Kingdom. Beginning August 14th, you can order a special Halloween Mix with candy corn, marshmallows, chocolate drizzle, and sprinkles for $17.99. It is a shareable snack that travels well back to your resort.
