Diaper Bag Packing Tips for Disney World

As a mom of two, I’ve learned quite a bit during my Disney vacations about being prepared. I’ve been taking my small children to Disney World since they were 2 years old and 10 months old. When you are looking at long days in the parks you need to be prepared for whatever the day might bring. Rain, potty accidents, spills, stains, you simply never know what you might get with toddlers and babies at Disney World. Packing your diaper bag efficiently is essential for your trip. You don’t want to have to return back to your resort because of an incident! Here are my best diaper bag packing tips for Disney World.

Pack Your Bag The Night Before

Don’t wait until the last minute to pack your bag; you will forget something if you try packing in the morning while getting everyone ready to leave at the same time. Pack your bag the night before to make sure you have time to remember anything you might have forgotten. I packed my diaper bag for the first park day before I even left my house for our 12 hour car ride to Florida. When you return back to the resort after your day at the parks, refill your diaper bag right away so you don’t find yourself scrambling to put it together at the last second.

Bring Extra Clothes For Every Child

Extra clothes are an important thing to pack in your diaper bag. Not just for the baby, but for any other children with you as well. You never know when you might have a spilled drink or dropped nacho cheese! It’s also a good idea to have a full change of clothes ready in case you decide to let your children enjoy water play areas like Casey Jr. Splash N’ Soak Station at Magic Kingdom. If this is the case, be sure to pack extra socks as well. Journey of Water-Inspired by Moana at EPCOT is another attraction during which your children might get more wet than anticipated. Be sure that the change of clothes is cool and lightweight for the Florida heat.

Snacks And Water

It’s extremely important to have quick snacks available in your bag in order to avoid any “hangry” children! Lines for snacks can be long so having something readily available is always a great idea. Bring your child’s water bottle with you in order to keep everyone properly hydrated in the heat. There are water bottle refill stations throughout the parks.

Travel Size Everything

I prefer to keep my bag as lightweight and small as possible during my trips to the parks. I only use travel-sized baby wipes, I pack just enough diapers for one day, and I downsize my diaper bag from its usual backpack to a smaller crossbody bag. I bring a clip so I can hang it on my stroller if I need to take a break from carrying it.
