Best DVC Resorts For Guests Who Love Magic Kingdom

For some Disney World guests, Magic Kingdom is the park they want to visit again and again. Whether you love starting your mornings on Main Street, U.S.A., staying until the fireworks, or hopping over for a few attractions whenever you have extra time, your DVC resort can make those Magic Kingdom-heavy trips even better. Several DVC properties put you incredibly close to the park while offering their own unique advantages. If Magic Kingdom is usually the star of your Disney vacation, these DVC resorts are worth considering!

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

It is hard to beat Bay Lake Tower when Magic Kingdom is your priority. Guests can walk between Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom, making this an especially convenient home base for frequent park visits. This can completely change the way you approach a Magic Kingdom day. Head over early, return to your villa for an afternoon break, and walk back when you are ready for more. At the end of a long night, being able to walk back instead of waiting for another form of transportation is another major advantage.

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows combines easy Magic Kingdom access with a resort atmosphere that still feels like an escape from the parks. The Polynesian is served by both the Resort Monorail and water transportation, giving guests multiple ways to travel to Magic Kingdom. The resort is also located along Seven Seas Lagoon, so Magic Kingdom never feels very far away. This is a great choice for guests who want their resort days to feel relaxing while still keeping their favorite park within easy reach.

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are another excellent option for guests planning to devote plenty of vacation time to Magic Kingdom. The Grand Floridian is just one Resort Monorail stop from the park, and guests can also use a walking path or water taxi. Having several options makes it easy to work Magic Kingdom into your day without necessarily planning an entire day around it. You could spend the afternoon enjoying the resort and still head over to Magic Kingdom later for dinner, a favorite attraction, and nighttime entertainment.

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Copper Creek offers a very different Magic Kingdom-area experience. Rather than staying along the monorail loop, guests get the peaceful, woodsy atmosphere of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge while remaining a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom. Disney currently provides water transportation between Wilderness Lodge and the park. This makes Copper Creek especially appealing for guests who love Magic Kingdom but don’t necessarily want to see and hear the activity of the monorail resorts throughout their entire vacation.

Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Boulder Ridge Villas share many of the same location advantages as Copper Creek, but the atmosphere gives guests another reason to consider this DVC property. The rustic setting can feel worlds away from the crowds of Magic Kingdom, which is particularly nice after a busy park day. You still have convenient access to the boat transportation serving Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom, but you return to a resort that encourages you to slow down. For families who spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom but also appreciate having a quieter place to recharge, Boulder Ridge can offer a great balance.
