Best DVC Resorts For A Staycation

Beach Club Villas

There’s a lot to do, eat and see at Disney World. With that comes a lot of planning and figuring out the Lightning Lane system and when to make dining reservations for your group. All of this can be accomplished, but it’s also important to take time for yourself!

Disney World has some of the best resorts and there are a few that are the perfect place for a Disney staycation. Staycations are perfect for when you want to chill at the resort for most of the day and focus on the parks later in the evening. Here are just a few of the best DVC staycation resorts.

Beach Club Villas

With arguably one of the best main pools, Beach Club is a perfect DVC resort for a staycation. The rooms are spacious and there’s a lot of amenities around the resort for you to enjoy. You can even walk over to the Boardwalk for more things to do during the day! Some go-to spots to spend your day at are Beaches & Cream, Crews Cup Lounge at Yacht Club and Cape May.

The highlight of this resort is the pool area, Stormalong Bay. Beach Club’s pool is massive, with a lazy river and fantastic water slide. There’s also a beach area in the pool with a sand hill in the middle for the kids to play at. Need a more quiet pool? There are two other smaller pools at the Beach Club to enjoy!

Polynesian

Walking the grounds of the Polynesian feels like you’re at a whole different resort. This DVC resort is very spread out, so it never feels too crowded. There are multiple fan favorite spots in the Great Ceremonial House like ‘Ohana, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Kona Café.

Start your DVC resort staycation off right at the Lava Pool where you can see Cinderella’s Castle. Kiki’s Tiki Splash Area is a huge area for the kids to have fun. The Oasis Pool also has great food options and drinks for while you lay out by the pool!

Fort Wilderness

It may seem like you’re far away from everything, but that’s the beauty of Fort Wilderness. The newly renovated DVC cabins at Fort Wilderness are the perfect getaway and staycation from the crowds at Disney World. One of the unique things here is you can rent a canoe and paddle along the waters at Fort Wilderness.

Drive your golf cart up to Trail’s End or Crockett’s Tavern for a quick bite to eat. From there, walk on over to Tri-Circle-D Ranch to see all the horses; maybe even go for a carriage ride around the resort or ride a pony! Cap your day off with Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long with delicious smores and a Disney movie under the stars.

Saratoga Springs

Another vast DVC resort, Saratoga Springs can offer a great staycation, with the addition of Disney Springs! Saratoga Springs has many pools to accommodate all of its buildings and rooms, so there’s plenty of options to choose from.

One of the perks of staying at this DVC resort is being right across from Disney Springs. It’s usually not busy during the day and weekday nights can vary, so you can enjoy Disney Springs when it’s less crowded! It’s perfect if you’re wanting to keep the staycation vibes, but still get off resort property.
