If you have an upcoming trip planned and want to make the most of your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom then check out this full itinerary for a day.
Start Your Day In Pandora
The busiest area of the park is Pandora: World of Avatar. Because of the crowd, many guests find it best to head to this area first thing in the morning right as the park opens. Here you’ll find the very popular attraction: Avatar Flight of Passage. This attraction is for guests 44 inches or taller and allows you to take flight on a banshee. You’ll also find Na’vi River Journey which is a slow boat ride through Pandora’s jungle. Guests also love the drinks at Pongu Pongu, with the Night Blossom being a fan favorite.

Breakfast and Coffee at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery
Once you’re satisfied with the time spent in Pandora you can head north and make your way toward Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. You can get breakfast entrees like Overnight Oats, Totchos, and breakfast sandwiches, as well as pastries and Coconut-flavored Iced Coffee with Amarula Cream Liqueur.

Explore Africa and Kilimanjaro Safaris
Once you enter the Africa section of the park you’ll find plenty to do. Animal Kingdom’s crown jewel attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris, is a must-do for any guest. This attraction takes you on a safari that gets you up close and personal with zebras, giraffes, lions, and more. Here you can also watch the Festival of the Lion King show, which is a Broadway-style musical that you just can’t miss.

Take the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch
The Wildlife Express Train is also located within Africa, and it will take you to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. There you’ll find Conservation Station which is the home of the Affection Section petting zoo, the Animation Experience, glimpses into vet care at Animal Kingdom, and more.

Explore Asia and Expedition Everest
As you make your way through Africa you’ll enter the Asia section of the park. Here you’ll find Animal Kingdom’s roller coaster: Expedition Everest. This exciting thrill ride is for guests 44 inches or taller and takes you through the forbidden mountain and past the legendary yeti monster. Asia is also where you’ll find Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond.

End Your Day at Discovery Island
Animal Kingdom’s Discovery Island is the perfect place to end your day at the park. You’ll get up-close views of the iconic Tree of Life, and you’ll find animal exhibits like otters, flamingoes, and more. You can grab dinner at Flame Tree Barbecue and then make a slow exit as you soak in all the details of the park.
