Must-Do’s For Teens At Your DVC Resort

Staying DVC is a great way to turn your Disney vacation into a completely magical experience. When you stay DVC you can experience deluxe accommodations with spacious villas, and have access to recreational activities and amenities. Staying DVC as a family with teens is the perfect way to relax during your vacation with the additional space and things to experience. Community Hall

Many DVC resorts are home to Community Halls where guests can gather, relax, and participate in a variety of activities. Crafts are offered and rotated daily, and various rentals for board games, DVDs, and video games are available. Community Halls act as the perfect teen space, and are perfect for rainy days or rest days from the parks. DVC resorts with Community Halls include Bay Lake Tower, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk Villas, Old Key West Resort, Riviera Resort, and Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.

Pools

DVC resorts are well-known for their incredible pools and poolside activities. Teens in particular will enjoy the waterslides at DVC resorts, especially the Polynesian’s volcano waterslide and Boardwalk’s “roller coaster” waterslide. Another DVC resort with incredible pools is Disney’s Beach Club which is home to Stormalong Bay, a mini waterpark featuring a lazy river and several slides. The pools at DVC resorts also have activities running throughout the day like bingo, trivia, and more.

Nighttime Entertainment

Resorts like Bay Lake Tower, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, and Boardwalk offer nightly campfire activities. Others like Disney’s Polynesian, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian Resort, and more offer nightly movies under the stars. Guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridan Resort, and Wilderness Lodge can view the nightly Electrical Water Pageant on Bay Lake. This water parade has been running since 1971.

Arcades

DVC resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk, Bay Lake Tower, Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs are home to amazing arcades that are perfect for your teen to enjoy. These arcades feature a wide variety of games including pinball and air hockey. Disney arcades utilize game cards loaded with points that can be paid for via credit or debit card. The cards are rechargeable and can be used at any Disney arcade location.

Other Recreational Activities

There are several other recreational activities at DVC resorts for your teen to enjoy. Many DVC resorts offer bike rentals including surrey bikes, sport equipment rental like basketballs and pickleball equipment, and activities like cornhole and other lawn games. Teens can also enjoy spa treatments or hair and nail services at Senses, the spa at Grand Floridian Resort.
