You don’t have to book a reservation to a table-service restaurant in order to have unique dining during your Disney vacation! There are several Disney quick-service restaurants that feature creative menus consisting of items other than burgers and hot dogs. With the right research you can find a Disney quick-service restaurant for just about any taste. Here are 5 of our favorite quick-service restaurants with creative menus.
1. Columbia Harbor House – Magic Kingdom
If you need a break from beef during your Disney vacation then Columbia Harbor House should be on your list of quick-services to enjoy. Magic Kingdom’s Columbia Harbor House features a seafood menu that will rival a table-service seafood restaurant from home. Columbia Harbor House focuses on New England favorites like Maple-Mustard Glazed Salmon, grilled shrimp, New England shrimp boil, and my personal favorite: The Lobster Roll. The Lobster Roll is a refreshing break from anything fried or greasy and features a pile of fresh lobster that is lightly covered in mayo on a bun and served with fries.
2. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Located within Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is an atmospheric restaurant with a great menu. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is modeled after a Star Wars outpost and has a creative menu featuring space-inspired foods. At Docking Bay 7 you can find tuna poke bowls, smoked ribs, hot chicken, stir fry, and a plant-based hummus spread. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is a great choice for both Star Wars fans and foodies.
3. Katsura Grill – EPCOT
Tucked away inside the Japan pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase is Katsura Grill. Epcot is full of quick-service restaurants that feature foods from different countries, but our favorite is definitely Katsura Grill. Katsura Grill is not only located within a beautiful garden, but also has great views of the Japan pavilion and serves delicious Japanese dishes. Guests can be delighted by sushi, ramen, udon, miso wings, curries, teriyaki beef and chicken, as well as Japanese plum wine and Sapporo beer. Katsura Grill truly takes the authentic taste of Japan and brings it to Epcot’s guests.
4. Satu’li Canteen – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom‘s most unique quick-service restaurant lives within the unique Pandora-World of Avatar. Satu’li Canteen is themed after an eatery on Pandora and takes its creative menu to a new level. Satu’li Canteen’s menu features gorgeous plating of its dishes and serves bowls of various proteins, grains, and veggies. Guests love the Combination Bowl of smoked chimichurri-braised beef and chicken, and also the cheeseburger steamed pods- bao buns.
5. The Friar’s Nook – Magic Kingdom
The last quick-service on our list takes us back to Magic Kingdom. The Friar’s Nook is a quick-service restaurant located in Fantasyland. This small quick-service restaurant has a lot to offer with its creative but all-American menu consisting of curry brat tots, bacon and macaroni and cheese hot dog, and caramel apple pecan pie for dessert. The Friar’s Nook is a great quick-service restaurant if you want to stick with the basics but add a touch of unique flair to your meal.
