Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers its guests the best of both worlds – the amenities and benefits of staying on Disney property, and the convenience of being close to the Disneyland Resort theme parks. The hotel is located in Anaheim, California, and is within walking distance to the monorail into the Disneyland theme park, and even features its own entrance to Disney’s California Adventure theme park.

To get to Disneyland from the Grand Californian resort, you have two ways you can get there, and both are simple and quick. Firstly, you can walk out of security and hop on the monorail. The monorail will take you over by the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage attraction.
Alternatively, you can simply exit the resort, walk through the center of the Disneyland resort that connects Downtown Disney, California Adventure and Disneyland, and walk to the main Disneyland gate. Both options are quick and easy to do, it’s about a 5-minute walk to the main Disneyland gate.
Disney’s California Adventure
The resort is so close to this theme park that it has its own gate that is attached to the Grand Californian, that’s pretty cool! You can simply exit straight into the park, right next to the Grizzly River Run attraction! Amazing proximity!

When it comes to availability at the Grand Californian compared to demand, there is a limit to how many guests it can accommodate. There are 50 DVC villas total throughout the property. It breaks down to 48 two-bedroom villas, most of which can be split into a one-bedroom villa and a studio, plus two three-bedroom Grand Villas.
This means if you are planning to visit this resort each time you come to Disneyland Resort, it would be wise to purchase your home resort at this location. Booking at the 7-month booking window can be challenging for owners at other home resorts, but it can be done if you’re patient and flexible about the dates you would be traveling.
