In a recent announcement, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has hinted at a significant transformation for one of its most forgotten lands, DinoLand U.S.A. The theme park is set to introduce a ‘Tropical Americas’ concept, which will bring a fresh and exciting atmosphere to this section of the theme park.
The new concept was revealed during the Disney Parks panel at the Destination D23 event. The re-imagination aims to offer visitors a more immersive experience, transporting them to the heart of tropical landscapes inspired by Central and South America.
One of the most anticipated changes is the transformation of the DINOSAUR ride into an Indiana Jones-themed adventure. This new attraction is expected to draw inspiration from the Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull ride at Tokyo DisneySea, known for its Central American theme.
But that’s not all. Disney is also planning to introduce elements from the animated film Encanto into the revamped area. Set in a vibrant Colombian village, the film’s lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage are likely to add a unique touch to the Tropical Americas concept. There are even images of a full-sized Casita belonging to The Family Madrigal shown on proposed map.
As the project progresses, Disney fans can expect more updates on this exciting transformation. From the thrilling Indiana Jones adventure to the enchanting world of Encanto, the new Tropical Americas concept promises to take the experience at DinoLand U.S.A. to a whole new level.
