Things To Do Just Before Closing At EPCOT

EPCOT and other Disney parks are typically open all day and into the night, and many guests prefer to spend as much of their day at possible within the parks. There are several perks to staying at the parks after nightfall. The heat of the day is gone, and the crowds are beginning to thin out. There are attractions and things to do up until the very minute of the park’s closing, and sometimes those minutes prior to the park closing can be great opportunities for magic and fun. If you find yourself at the parks after dark then check out some of these things to do just before closing at EPCOT.

Get In Line For Big Attractions

Big attractions like Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Soarin’ Around the World are great places to head towards during the final few minutes of the park being open. Guests can get in line for these attractions up until the minute the park closes and remain in line until they’ve experienced the attraction even if its after closing time. This strategy is a great way to experience these popular attractions, and with a potentially shorter line than during the day because of guests watching Luminous: The Symphony of Us, or leaving the park altogether.

Watch Luminous: The Symphony of Us

Every night on World Showcase Lagoon, Luminous: The Symphony of Us lights up the skies. This fireworks spectacular plays just prior the the park’s closing and is a great way to finish off your Disney night. Guests can watch this show from all across World Showcase, and then have one last walk through World Showcase as they exit the park and complete their day.

Last Minute Shopping At Creations Shop

Did you know that Creations Shop remains open for an hour after the park closes? Getting some last minute shopping in is a great way to spend your time just prior to the park closing or even after. By shopping late at night you don’t have to carry your goodies around with you all day and can instead just take them right back with you to your Disney resort. Creations Shop has just about anything you could want or need from a store at EPCOT, and is a great way to end your night at the parks.

Watch Light Shows On Spaceship Earth

Every night, Spaceship Earth comes alive with various light shows that are set to music. These shows don’t run on a predetermined schedule so you never know exactly what you’ll get and when, but if you are visiting during a holiday or festival then you can expect some special themed shows to play. Many guests enjoy sitting near the park’s entrance for a while and watching these shows play as the crowds begin to vacate the park.

Revisit Popular Photo Spots With No Line

After dark and just before closing time is the perfect time to revisit popular photo spots with little to no crowd and line. Photo Pass photographers are still out after dark and can provide some great shots of your family. Popular photo spots include the front entrance overlooking Spaceship Earth, World Showcase pavilions like Japan, and Dreamers Point.
