The Newest Attractions at Magic Kingdom



Tron Lightcycle / Run

Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Florida is a classic Disney park that contains attractions original to the park’s opening, as well as new and innovative attractions that showcase the latest in Disney Imagineering. Magic Kingdom is a great park for families because there are so many attractions for guests of all ages and heights. Family attractions take priority at Magic Kingdom and guests love seeing their favorite Disney characters and films come to life through these attractions. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which opened in Frontierland on June 28th, 2024. This attraction took the place of Splash Mountain which operated in the space from 1992 until 2023. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a splash-filled journey through the bayou as Tiana is in search of a critter band for her big celebration. Guests travel through indoor and outdoor scenes filled with audio-animatronics and other special visual effects. This attraction has a height requirement of 40 inches or taller and features several drops, including a grand finale 50-foot drop that will leave you soaked.

Tron Lightcycle Run

This exhilarating roller coaster is another new addition to Magic Kingdom park. Located in Tomorrowland, Tron Lightcycle Run is a coaster that takes guests through the grid and into the world of Tron. This unique coaster features lightcycle ride vehicles, a high-speed launch, and an indoor and outdoor track. This roller coaster is for the thrill-seekers and has a height requirement of 48 inches or taller.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Another newer attraction that you can find at Magic Kingdom is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This family-style roller coaster is located within Fantasyland, and with top speeds of 34mph it is the perfect combination of thrill and fun. This attraction is smooth, and features indoor scenes of the Seven Dwarfs mine as they search for diamonds and gems. This attraction has a height requirement of 38 inches or taller; which is great for families with young thrill-seekers!

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire

If you or someone in your family doesn’t care for roller coasters or thrill rides, then there is another newer attraction at Magic Kingdom that might interest you. Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire is a stage show that takes place periodically throughout the morning and into the late-afternoon each day. This show takes place on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle, and features all of your favorite Disney characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy, take the stage and are joined by Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Rapunzel, Tiana, and many more beloved characters. Guests can listen to Disney characters singing their classic songs, as well as witness dancing and all sorts of fun. This show is around 20 minutes-long and is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather, so be sure to check your Disney World app in advance for showtimes and schedules.
