Disney has been utilizing virtual queues for their newest rides, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in Epcot. The rules are always the same, including the fact that guests can only join the virtual queue to ride the attraction once per day. However, with the new implementation of Genie+ Individual ride purchases and the Lightning Lanes, it is now possible to get around that rule. Here’s how to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure twice in one day.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is not included in the purchase of Genie+, however it is advertised as available for individual purchase at the cost of $9 per person. This can be done in the morning to completely bypass the virtual queue, or in addition to the virtual queue as well.
If this attraction is a new found favorite, it appears that Disney is allowing guests to keep their virtual queue and purchase Lightning Lane access. Guests will be able to enjoy the ride via the virtual queue, and then come back and use their Magic Band to enter into the Lightning Lane.
It is hard to say at this time whether this is a small, but beneficial fluke in the new Genie+ system and will change later one, or if it is here to stay. Either way it is always fun to be able to get around the usually rules and get a little extra out of your day in Disney.
