Disney’s Monorail connects deluxe DVC resorts to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, as well as the Ticket and Transportation Center. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Resort all reside on the monorail line. Each of these resorts is home to various lounges, restaurants, and shops that make great use of any free time you might have during your vacation. Whether you are a guest of one of these resorts, or simply enjoying your time riding the monorail, you can find plenty to do during your visit. Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is well-known for its sophistication and elegance. It is also well-known for its many sit-down restaurants. However, there are still options for guests in need of a quick bite. Gasparilla Island Grill is a quick-service restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort that offers quick and casual dining. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, guests can enjoy entrees like the Egg White Breakfast Wrap, Croissant Egg Sandwich, and Breakfast Platter featuring Mickey waffles. Sides like Acai Bowls, oatmeal, grits, and bacon are also available as well as various breakfast pastries. For lunch and dinner, guests can choose from entrees like house-made mac n’ cheese, Gourmet Grilled Cheese, Artisan Burgers, Cuban and Caprese Sandwiches, and various salads. Desserts like Almond Cheesecake and Coconut Pot de Crème are sure to please anyone in your family.

Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Contemporary Resort is home to several restaurants and shopping opportunities. With the monorail going through the building, this resort is truly unique and leaves a great impression on guests and visitors. While visiting the Contemporary Resort, be sure to grab a bite to eat at Contempo Cafe. This quick-service restaurant is located in the main concourse of the resort featuring a view of both of the monorail and the massive mural by Mary Blair. Contempo Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast options include Loaded Totcho Bowls, Mickey Waffles, Breakfast Flatbread, Breakfast Burritos, and yummy bakery items like cinnamon rolls and cookie croissants. Lunch and dinner options include the Contempo Burger, Meatball sub, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and Chili Cheese Corn Dog Nuggets.

Captain Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Resort brings island living to guests of Disney World. This resort is home to famous restaurants like Ohana and Kona Cafe, but also to Captain Cook’s. Captain Cook’s is a casual quick-service dining location that serves Hawaiian-inspired meals alongside classic favorites. This restaurant is also open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast items include the famous Tonga Toast, a banana-stuffed sourdough French Toast that is deep-fried and tossed in cinnamon sugar. Lunch and dinner entrees include the Aloha Pork Sandwich, Spicy Korean Chicken Bowl, and Thai Coconut Meatballs. For dessert, guests can try the specialty Pineapple Cupcake.
