Walt Disney World Resort has announced that the walking path between the Grand Floridian Resort and Magic Kingdom will be closed temporarily, starting on February 13th. The closure is necessary while upgrades are made to the transportation system between these two popular destinations.
During this time, guests of Grand Floridian will still be able to access both locations via the monorail service from any of the monorail stops along the Resort loop. In addition, you can always walk to the Transportation and Ticketing Center (TCC) and take the ferry, monorail or bus transportation services from the TCC into the Magic Kingdom theme park.
The temporary closure is estimated to last until late spring, or approximately until the middle of June this year. If you have a trip to Grand Floridian in the next few months, make sure to plan ahead for the closure of this popular walking path and make alternate plans to get into Magic Kingdom.
