Disney has announced that the upcoming “Avatar” experience is set to be located at Disney California Adventure, a part of the Disneyland Resort. The news was unveiled during the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo by Disney representatives.

The Walt Disney Company CEO, Bob Iger, initially revealed the development of an “Avatar” experience during the earnings call on February 8, 2023. He hinted that the experience would be a “version” of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. A post in March by D23, the official Disney fan club, further stated that it would be “as amazing” as Pandora – The World of Avatar.

During the Imagineering Lunch & Learn event, Disney confirmed that the experience will indeed be located at Disney California Adventure. However, the company has been reticent to label the “experience” as a land or ride, leaving fans speculating about what exactly the Avatar-themed addition will entail.
