Disney World is a well-known vacation destination for families, and a big reason why it’s so popular is because of its attractions for guests of all ages and abilities. It is true that Disney World is home to several thrill rides and roller coasters, but there are so many attractions for non-thrill seekers that are total must-do’s for anyone in your family. Just because the attraction isn’t a thrilling roller coaster doesn’t mean its boring! These attractions are excellent story-tellers, and have been entertaining guests for many years. Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom

This attraction is located at Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland, and takes the classic dark ride to a new level. Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid, is a newer attraction that tells the story of Ariel and her under the sea friends. Guests board this attraction and journey under the sea where they come face-to-face with characters like Ariel, Flounder, Prince Eric, and of course Ursula the Sea Witch. Your favorite songs from the classic Disney film are heard and acted out like you’ve ever seen them before. This gentle attraction is great for guests of all ages, and especially great for those who want great visual effects and storytelling!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is home to another attraction that is perfect for those who can’t handle anything intense but still want fun and exciting storytelling. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is an innovative dark ride attraction that showcases some incredible Disney Imagineering. This attraction features trackless ride vehicles that take you through a wacky attempt at a park picnic with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, and Donald Duck. Guests will experience cartoonish hi-jinks as they zoom through this innovative dark ride that is perfect for guests of all ages.

Toy Story Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Also located at Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Mania is an interactive attraction that you just can’t miss. Located in Toy Story Land, this attraction allows guests to experience midway games that the toys from Andy’s room have set up just for you. You’ll zip through the track as you shoot targets, toss rings, and so much more. This attraction is for guests of all ages and abilities!

Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s crown jewel attraction is Kilimanjaro Safaris. Kilimanjaro Safaris is so much more than a ride. This is a true safari experience. The animals here are free-roaming and in a habitat as close to nature as possible. Guests will ride through this attraction while listening to their safari driver recite facts and give information about the animals that they are seeing. Kilimanjaro Safaris is home to animals like giraffes, lions, elephants, zebras, antelope, and so much more. You never know what you might see, and how close you might see them.
