If you were scheduled to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this week, your plans may have been thrown off by the news of the upcoming hurricane and Disney park closures. So what exactly happens in situations like these? You have your party tickets, but will there be a party?
Unfortunately the heavy rain and lightning will not be conducive to going into Magic Kingdom for the beloved Halloween party this week. The Disney park closure was most likely a shock for many who were planning on attending the party this week. In order to find out more DVC Shop called Guest Services for information in regards to the MNSSHP tickets. This is what we were told.
As long as the MNSSHP tickets were not used and the entry date passes, guests will have the option to call after the fact and can have the ticket cost applied to tickets for the Very Merry Christmas Party. We have also heard that people are being offered 1 day Park Hopper tickets as well.
In addition, Disney’s website states that they will be automatically refunding ticket costs to guests for the cancelled party on September 29th as long as the ticket was purchased with a credit card, debit card, or Disney rewards card.
These give guests many options in regards to the cancelled party. Many of these options may be the perfect solution if you are someone who is having to postpone your trip due to the weather and airport closures, will not be able to attend while you wait or the storm in the Disney resorts, or were planning on doing both parties this year anyway.
Were you hoping to attend the Very Merry Christmas Party this year? Or will you be attending it now that you are not able to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Be sure to call Guest Services after your party date to apply the cost to your Christmas Party tickets and be sure to follow the DVC Shop Blog for more information!
