With the end of Disney World’s 50th year anniversary celebration, coming at the end of March next year in 2023, Disney has confirmed they will be replacing their ambitious Harmonious night time fireworks show.
EPCOT FOREVER To Replace Harmonious
Harmonious made its debut on October 1, 2021 as part of Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration, and has been a mainstay at EPCOT since then. The Harmonious show involved the serious investment of adding barges to the middle of the lagoon in the World Showcase, and while this fireworks show is quite impressive, it has received mixed reviews from guests. Many guests are not a fan of the size of barges in the lagoon that provide the show with its water and laser features, but it is unclear if they will be removed or reworked in the upcoming replacement show.
While exact details of the replacement nighttime show has not yet been revealed, a new fireworks show called “EPCOT FOREVER” is expected to take its place starting April 1st, 2023.
We’ll have to wait and see what Disney decides to bring to the table, but it’s safe to say Disney will be planning something very special as next year is EPCOT’s 40th anniversary celebration, as well as the Disney company’s 100th year anniversary celebration.
