The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come! We recently reported that fireworks were returning to Disney parks starting on July 1st, and now that they have officially returned, we’re delighted to share the very first Happily Ever After Fireworks Show with you!
July 1st marked the beginning of the nightly shows again in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure theme parks, and we couldn’t wait to capture the fireworks for the first time since the pandemic forced Disney to shut down the parks.
The Happily Ever After Fireworks Show at Magic Kingdom lasts about 10-15 minutes, is fun for all ages, and uses state-of-the art projection technology to transform Cinderella’s Castle in a way that is truly spectacular. The show pulls out all the stops by using lights, lasers, special effects, and a slew of your favorite Disney songs, such as “Part of Your World” and “Hakuna Matata”, that truly capture the imagination of park guests.
This fireworks show originally debuted on May 12, 2017, and is expected to conclude its run on September 30, 2021. Disney plans to replace this beloved display of glitz and glam with the new show, dubbed Disney Enchantment for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021. Over the next few months may be some of the last times we see this particular fireworks show, so the staff here at DVC Shop saw it fitting to share it with you, today, on the 4th of July. Here’s hoping your Independence Day is a truly magical one!
