Gaston’s Tavern Review

Gaston

My- what a guy, that Gaston! Everyone’s favorite villain has his very own spot located in Fantasyland. At Gaston’s Tavern, you can find some well-sought-after snacks and a very unique drink. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from the hot Florida sun and the busy Magic Kingdom crowds!

Snacks

Made famous from Beauty and the Beast’s song “Be Our Guest,” the Grey Stuff has become a staple dessert option at Magic Kingdom. Currently, it can be found at two dining locations- the first is the Beauty and the Beast-inspired restaurant Be Our Guest. Here the Grey Stuff comes served on top of the chocolate tart from the dessert trio. However, the Grey Stuff Cupcake is also available at Gaston’s Tavern if you’d prefer a quicker and less expensive option. This chocolate cupcake comes with the Grey Stuff and is topped with crispy pearls!

Another dish served at Gaston’s Tavern is their Warm Cinnamon Roll. This option is so popular many people have attempted to recreate it, posting recipes online, and it is considered one of the top snack options in Magic Kingdom! As stated in the name, this cinnamon roll comes warm and covered in frosting, and the serving size is large enough to share.

The final food offering at Gaston’s is a sandwich- an option more suitable for someone looking for a meal versus a snack or treat. The Ham, Provolone, and Swiss Sandwich is served with a side of chips and provides a perfect lunch option. Paired with one of their refreshing drinks, Gaston’s Tavern is a great spot to enjoy a nice lunch away from the crowds!

Drinks

For beverages, guests at Gaston’s can find the usual: fountain drinks, water, hot tea, apple juice, and chocolate milk. They also serve coffee, providing Joffrey’s for patrons in two ways: hot and cold. Regular and decaf hot freshly brewed coffee can be purchased, while their French Roast Cold Brew is available for those needing an iced coffee fix! Need a little flavor? Vanilla and Caramel are available for an additional cost.

Gaston’s Tavern also serves a very unique concoction called LeFou’s Brew. This beverage is a combination of frozen apple juice and toasted marshmallow. Topped with passion fruit and mango foam, this sweet yet refreshing drink is perfect for a hot day! Lefou’s Brew is available for $6.79, but if you prefer it to be served in a souvenir stein featuring Gaston himself, this option is also available for $12.99.

Menu Rotations

Although this is the current menu, Gaston’s Tavern has changed its offerings a few times since opening in 2012. For sandwiches, past menus have included options like Ham, Brie, and Grain Mustard or Smoked Turkey, Swiss, and Cranberry Aioli. And for snacks, items such as the Fruit and Cheese Picnic Platter as well as the Chocolate Croissant have been featured. There’s always a possibility of things changing at Walt Disney World, so it’s best to stay up to date on what’s available using the Disney World app!
