Castle Suite
When Disney World was being constructed there were originally plans for Walt Disney and his family to have a private suite inside the castle and overlooking the park. Walt Disney passed before this could become a reality, but the space for a private suite was still built. Today, guests who win contests or get special invitations can stay the night inside this royal suite. This is the most exclusive resort room in all of Disney World as you can’t simply make a reservation to stay there.

Still want to go inside the castle but aren’t a VIP guest? Anyone can make a reservation to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this restaurant allows guests to meet and greet their favorite Disney princesses while they dine. Any princess can make an appearance but you’ll definitely be seeing Cinderella. This lovely dining room gives guests a great view of Fantasyland and is the royal experience that any princess, young or old, deserves.

Changes In Appearance
Cinderella Castle has had a few makeovers throughout the years. The most recent change happening in 2020 for the 50th anniversary of Disney World. The castle was given a vibrant shade of rosy pink and the blues were brightened. Previously, the castle was dressed as a birthday cake for its 25th anniversary in 1996 which brought out some mixed feelings in guests at the time. In 2004 to celebrate the opening of the attraction Stitch’s Great Escape, the castle was vandalized by the blue alien himself. Covered in toilet paper with red writing “Stitch is king”, guests who scheduled their weddings for that day weren’t too keen on this makeover!

Forced Perspective
While Cinderella Castle appears extremely tall, it is actually only 189 feet. Using forced perspective, Disney Imagineers were able to make the castle appear much taller.
