Are you feeling nervous about taking your child out of school to visit Disney World? Or perhaps you are a homeschool family that is always looking for education opportunities everywhere you go? Disney World is so much more than a theme park! It has several opportunities for learning and education throughout all 4 parks. Preschoolers are the perfect age to soak in all of the information around them. Disney World can become a great educational tool for them. There are many areas of “edutainment” throughout the parks. Here are a few of our favorite educational opportunities for preschoolers at Disney World.
Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana
EPCOT’s newest attraction is located in World Nature right outside of the The Seas with Nemo and Friends attraction. Journey of Water- Inspired by Moana is an attraction that allows guests to interact with water in innovative ways. This attraction educates about the water cycle all while inviting guests to play with water and experience its potential. Children will love this interactive attraction, though they might get a bit wet! Parents can enjoy reading the signage to their preschoolers while they play and learn at the same time.

Living With the Land
Also in EPCOT and located within The Land pavilion, Living With the Land is a gentle boat ride that educates guests of all ages on the potential of our land and how we work with nature. This attraction takes guests through a working greenhouse and showcases plants and agriculture in a fun and interesting way. Even preschoolers will be enthralled by this educational experience as they float through different biomes and view how nature and humans can go hand-in-hand.

Kilimanjaro Safaris
Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s crown jewel attraction is Kilimanjaro Safaris. This attraction is as close to a real-life safari as you can get in central Florida. The animals are free-roaming so you never know how close of a view you’ll get. Your guide is knowledgeable and will give facts on all the animals that you see throughout the attraction. Guests can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so much more during this exciting attraction.

Wilderness Explorers
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also home to another attraction that educates and entertains guests. Preschoolers will love the Wilderness Explorers stations that are set up throughout the park. This interactive experience gives “missions” to guests to accomplish during their day at the park. Guests will learn wildlife facts and gain knowledge while they explore and have fun earning badges.

World Showcase Pavilions
For many preschoolers just experiencing the World Showcase pavilions is an educational experience that they won’t be able to get anywhere else. It is so important for young children to be exposed to other cultures and ideas. A walk through World Showcase is the perfect opportunity to educate your little ones about other countries, what makes us different, and what unites us all.
