DVC Resorts With Incredible Walking Trails



There is no shortage of walking during Disney vacations. When you explore the Disney parks you typically walk all day long, with many guests finding themselves walking several miles. This is good news for those who enjoy this leisurely form of exercise. If you are someone who loves to walk then you might find yourself seeking out walking trails during your stay at the Disney resorts. Even on your off days from the parks you can still find great scenery and have tranquil walks through wooded areas, around lakes, and through resort grounds. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy then be sure to check out these DVC resorts with incredible walking trails.

The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort

If you love a little bit of nature during your vacation then head over to Fort Wilderness Resort to get your fix. This resort is home to luxury, private DVC cabins. But the paths surrounding the resort are lush with wildlife and peaceful forests. There are several routes for guests to take when walking through this resort with milage varying from under 1 to just under 3 miles. Guests can also walk out to the Tri-Circle D Ranch and see some of Disney’s beautiful horses.

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

This resort is full of walking paths that connect the many different buildings and areas of the resort. Guests can walk around Saratoga’s lake as well as walk from pool to pool as there are several. However, Saratoga’s best walking path will take you all the way to Disney Springs. The entire path takes around 20-30 minutes depending on where you start. The walking path will take you past the picturesque scenery of the nearby Disney golf course.

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

If you like a bit of entertainment while you walk then check out Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. The boardwalk itself is a short walk but there are several things to see and do while you explore. You might catch some live performances in the evenings like jump ropers or jugglers. You can grab a margarita at Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas, or get a latte and slice of cake from Cake Bake Shop. This resort is also within walking distance to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Disney’s Riviera Resort is a beautiful resort to explore with its murals and European flair. This resort is located off the Skyliner which makes it easy to get to from Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. Riviera is home to a 1.4 mile walking path that takes you around Barefoot Bay lake. Guests can walk around the path and take in the sights, and then hop on the Skyliner and head over to other parks or even the nearby Caribbean Beach Resort.
