Disney Vacation Club has set an opening date for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, along with a first look at the rooms that will fill it. The waterfront resort arrives with 967 rooms and eight distinct room types, each tied to a different Disney animated film. Here is a full breakdown of the opening date, the location, and every room in the lineup.
When and Where the Resort Opens
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is set to open on July 1, 2027. The resort sits along the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World, on the former River Country site between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. With 967 rooms in total, it gives guests a range of stay options across studios, villas, standalone Lake Houses, and traditional resort rooms.
Lake Houses Themed to Brother Bear

The Lake Houses sit closest to the water. These freestanding one- and two-bedroom units are built along the edge of Bay Lake, using A-frame architecture and floor-to-ceiling windows that pull in natural light and lake views.

One-bedroom Lake Houses hold up to five guests, while two-bedroom versions sleep up to eight. Each unit includes a private porch over the water, a full kitchen, and an in-unit washer and dryer.

The theming draws from Brother Bear, with artwork throughout that references the film’s Alaskan setting. A Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom casts a soft glow at night.
Duo Studios and Deluxe Studios

Duo Studios are built for couples and solo travelers, with theming pulled from Encanto. Each one includes a kitchenette and a spa-style split bathroom. A queen-size pull-down bed folds into the wall, letting the room work as a living space by day and a bedroom at night.

Deluxe Studios step up in size and take their theme from Bambi, sleeping up to four guests. These rooms pair warm natural materials with original concept artwork from the studio’s archives. A kitchenette, private balcony, and seating area complete the layout, giving families a bit more room to relax.
Villas Themed to Bambi and Fantasia

The one- and two-bedroom villas carry the Bambi theme forward, using soft earth tones and forest motifs. The one-bedroom version sleeps up to five guests, and the two-bedroom version holds up to nine. Each includes a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a private patio, and separate living and dining areas suited to larger groups.

Three-bedroom Grand Villas sit at the top of the villa category and shift themes to Fantasia. These accommodate up to 12 guests and are built for multigenerational trips, with multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, added gathering space, and a private patio with water views.
Resort Rooms Themed to Pocahontas

Lakeshore Lodge also offers more traditional resort rooms, themed to Pocahontas. Resort Studios sleep up to four guests, while Resort Studio King rooms are built for up to two. Both feature earthy color palettes, carved wood paneling with nods to Grandmother Willow, and scenic murals of the film’s landscapes.

Select resort rooms come with access to The Artist’s Nest, a concierge lounge set above the treetops with views across Walt Disney World Resort.

At the top of the category is the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite, which holds up to six guests. It offers views of Bay Lake by day and Magic Kingdom fireworks by night, along with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and concierge lounge access.
