There is a lot of buzz around the announcement of Disneyland’s new Magic Key Program, but there was something hidden in plain sight on the Disney website that is equally exciting! Walt Disney World will begin selling Annual Passes once again in time for the 50th Anniversary celebration!

At the end of the release for the Disneyland Magic Key, there was a paragraph that stated:

And for those wondering about Walt Disney World Annual Passes, new pass sales will become available in time for the start of the 50th anniversary celebrations!

The 50th anniversary celebrations are set to begin on October 1st, 2021. The actual date of Annual Passes resuming sale has not yet been announced, but it stands to reason based on the above statement that it will be October 1st or sooner. Disney states that more information regarding the sale of Annual Passes will be released soon.

Sales of Annual Passes were halted during the COVID-19 shutdowns, and were not permitted even after the park reopened. Those who previously had them were able to renew, but no new passes were being sold. This is incredible news for guests who have been waiting to purchase a new Annual Pass and a great step towards the Disney parks returning to normalcy.

What are your thoughts on Walt Disney World getting ready to begin selling Annual Passes once again? Have you been waiting to purchase one? Let us know in the comments below?
