It’s the most wonderful time of the year, because Disney has just made a new announcement about the holiday season festivities! Although Boo Bash has just begun, it is never too early to discuss Christmas. The “Disney Very Merriest After Hours” event is set to take place in Magic Kingdom over 24 nights between November 8th and December 21st.
The specific events for this event are:
November: 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 28, 30
December: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21
With this year’s festivities corresponding with the 50th anniversary, it is sure to be the absolute biggest one yet. This four hour celebration will begin at 9:00 PM and will go on until 1:00 AM! It will be the ultimate after hours event with so much to look forward to. The event will include a nighttime spectacular “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” that will light up the sky with wonder. The holiday-themed “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” will feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their festive garb, along with Disney’s Frozen characters, the classic Toy Soldiers, and even Santa Claus.
Tickets will be going on sale to the general public on August 20th, but those staying at select Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort can book their tickets early on August 17th. Those looking to attend this exclusive ticket only event can purchase tickets online or by calling 407-939-7947.
Ticket pricing will range from $169 to $229 plus tax for select November-December nights, and ticket pricing will increase to $249 plus tax for December 19th and 21st. Those who are Annual Passholders and/or Disney Vacation Club Members will receive a $10 discount on select November dates.
The best part of these tickets is that they do not require additional theme park tickets or park pass reservations to enter Magic Kingdom. Guests of “Disney Very Merriest After Hours” will be able to enter Magic Kingdom as early at 7:00 PM, allowing guests to enjoy the 50th anniversary celebrations, including the “Disney Enchantment” fireworks show, as well as the attractions.
With everything that Disney has in store for this limited-capacity event, it will feel just like Christmas, because of course, it is! Here is everything else that guests can expect to enjoy in the park.
