Overview
We all know that Disneyland is the only Disney Park that Walt experienced, but have you ever thought about where his favorite place to eat was? The answer is right on Main Street USA at the Carnation Cafe. This classic dining restaurant features delicious American comfort food that will please your taste buds.
The Carnation Cafe offers indoor and outdoor dining to observe all the happenings on Main Street while enjoying your meal. When entering Carnation Cafe, you’ll find yourself in a Victorian-style restaurant. You’ll see familiar sights such as the trolley, Main Street Philharmonic, and even The Dapper Dans passing by. If dining outside, you’ll find yourself sitting under some vibrant candy-striped umbrellas that will remind you of a red carnation.
The Carnation Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so it’s a perfect place to add to your reservation list for a full sit down table service. For breakfast, you can enjoy the famous Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles. Of course, there’s much more to enjoy than that, such as plant-based options and more.
You can enjoy many gourmet entrees such as burgers after starting with one of the many soups and salad options when dining for lunch or dinner. Another guest favorite to have before starting your meal is an order of their fried pickles. With so many good choices, you’ll have to save room for dessert, though!
To this day, you can enjoy one of Walt’s favorite Disneyland Park dishes, which still uses the same recipe. This dish is called Walt’s Chili, which features chili topped with cheese, sour cream, chives, and a cornbread garnish. Carnation Cafe is also known for many other lunch and dinner dishes, such as their famous fried chicken. Additionally, this restaurant features a children’s menu so guests of all ages can enjoy this experience together.
