Here are the best places to sit and relax at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch
If you board the Wildlife Express train you’ll make your way over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you’ll find Conservation Station. This area is dedicated to the appreciation of wildlife. You can pet goats and other animals at Affection Section, take a short animation class at The Animation Experience, view medical procedures through a vet window, and watch food be prepared for the animals. There are plenty of opportunities to sit and relax in this area after you experience all of the attractions.

Asian Small-Clawed Otter Exhibit at Discovery Island
As you walk through Discovery Island you’ll find several animal exhibits. Among these are the Asian Small-Clawed Otters. This exhibit has made our list because guests walk down into a cave-like viewing area for the otters. There is a section of this viewing area with a bench and a fan. This is our favorite hidden gem for relaxing, and perfect for kiddos who need a quick nap, or babies who need a quick feed.

The Boneyard at DinoLand U.S.A. (Closing September 2nd, 2025)
This next area is closing at the beginning of September, 2025, so experience it while you still can! The Boneyard at DinoLand U.S.A. is a fun area where adults can sit and relax while kids play. The Boneyard is a giant dinosaur dig site where kids can play as paleontologists and dig up Dino bones. Fans are blowing so adults can enjoy resting while their kids are busy at play.

Flame Tree Barbecue
This quick-service restaurant is not just popular for its delicious barbecue food, but also for its wonderful view. Flame Tree Barbecue serves yummy barbecue classics, and offers a patio dining area overlooking the lake and Expedition Everest. Guests can enjoy grabbing a bite and sitting and relaxing while they eat.

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond
This Broadway-style show is a must-do for many guests! Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond is a musical adventure featuring puppetry and other live performances. This show runs for around 25 minutes; the perfect amount of time for sitting and relaxing.
