A Closer Look At Disneyland After Dark Events

Disneyland in California is a very special park. Disneyland was the first Disney park ever created and guests can see the personal Walt Disney touch on everything  they encounter during their visits here. Many guests consider Disneyland to be their favorite Disney park, and it’s easy to see why with so many classic attractions and pixie dust magic. Disneyland hosts several events throughout the year called “After Dark Events”. These events require their own ticket and take place after the park normally closes. Guests love the Disneyland After Dark Events because they have fun themes and provide an opportunity to experience an emptier park and entertainment unique to the event. Let’s take a closer look at Disneyland’s After Dark Events together!

Star Wars Nite

Tickets are available now for upcoming Star Wars Nite this spring! Starting at $169 per guest, guests can play in the parks after hours and experience some epic Star Wars fun. All Disneyland After Dark Events officially begin at 9pm, but you can enter the park as early as 6pm which is 3 hours prior to the event start time. During this special event guests can find roaming Star Wars characters, special themed menus, special photo opportunities, a lightsaber instructional, and a cavalcade starring you! All of the Star Wars attractions including Star Tours, Rise of the Resistance, and Smuggler’s Run will be in operation during this event. Special Star Wars photo ops will be placed throughout the park and all guests will receive free and unlimited downloads of all of their photos.

Pride Nite

Pride Nite is a very special Disneyland After Dark event that typically runs through the month of June. This special event celebrates pride and the LGBTQ+ community from 9pm-1am! Details for this year’s event have yet to be released, but last year’s event involved a special pride parade with characters dressed in their rainbow best. This event included photo ops, special themed merchandise, rare character sightings, dance parties, welcome fireworks, and rainbows everywhere! Pride Nite is a can’t miss celebration of love, acceptance, and community. You can’t find an event like this anywhere else other than Disneyland.

Sweethearts’ Nite

Sweethearts’ Nite is a special event that typically runs through the month of February. This After Dark event celebrates Valentine’s Day and all things sweet and loving. Some of the best Disney couples were out meeting and greeting, and Mickey and Minnie were dressed in their sweethearts’ best. Even rare characters like Han Solo and Princess Leia were spotted during this event. Lots of photo ops for you and your sweetheart were placed throughout the park, and there was even a royal ball with Cinderella and Prince Charming.

90’s Nite

90’s Nite was new to 2025, and this 2-day event sold out quickly. We aren’t sure yet if it will be offered again, but it was definitely a hit with its many photo ops, special menus, and rare characters. Nostalgic characters like Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Esmerelda, and even Flik and Princess Atta were spotted to be out and about. The 90’s on Parade was a highlight event of the night and featured so many fun characters and costumes.
