5 Current Disneyland Updates You Need to Know Before Visiting

The beginning of the year is always very busy at The Disneyland Resort, from ride closures and refurbishments, to food festivals and ticket sales! Here a few important reminders, as well as dates you need to know before you head to Disneyland in the upcoming weeks.

1. Radiator Springs Racers Set To Close For Refurbishment

Radiator Springs Racers located in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park will be closing on February 26 – March 1, 2024 for a scheduled refurbishment. Radiator Springs Racers is one of the most sought out rides for guests when visiting the California Parks! It is the only ride currently at California Adventure Park where you can purchase an Individual Lightening Lane entry in order to bypass long lines.

2. Soarin’ Over California Returns

Soarin’ Over California returns during Disney California Adventure Park’s Food & Wine Festival. Beginning on March 1st – April 22nd 2024 you can take flight on a nostalgic ride through the wonders of California! Glide past The Golden Gate Bridge, the warm city of Palm Springs, sunny San Diego and be immersed with the smell of California oranges! Soarin’ Over California was an opening-day attraction at California Adventure Park in 2001 and has since been replaced by Soarin’ Around the World in 2016. Disney has brought back the well-loved version of this attraction for a limited time over the last few years. Don’t miss your chance to ride Soarin’ Over California this year during The Food & Wine Festival.

3. Star Wars Nite Tickets on Sale Now

Disneyland After Dark has announced the return of the very Popular Star Wars Nite! Dates of the after hours event include April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and May 2, 7 and 9, 2024. On those select days Disneyland Park will close early to guests without a special After Hours event ticket, so plan accordingly! Ticket Prices start at $159 and are still currently available for purchase on all 8 days! Grab your tickets while supplies last.

4. Astro Orbitor is Set to Reopen

Astro Orbitor located in Tomorrowland at the Disneyland Resort is scheduled to reopen on Friday, March 8, 2024. The attraction has been closed for refurbishment since November of 2023. During the months-long closure, the attraction has been completely dismantled and covered behind construction walls. The framework and elements of the ride are slowly being put back together in lieu of its return in just a few weeks!

Incredicoaster Scheduled for Refurbishment

The Iconic Incredibles themed Coaster is set to close on March 4 – 14, 2024 for refurbishment. The Incredicoaster is located on along Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure Park. The ride was previously closed for a refurbishment just a few months ago in November of 2023. Guests have since reported of frequent break downs, special effects and sounds not working, as well as the coaster making loud screeching noises when coming to a halt.
