There are activities throughout the DVC resorts for guests of all ages, and those who are traveling with children. However, many grown-ups enjoy taking DVC-only vacations where they simply enjoy the resorts without ever entering the parks. Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club

Hitting the pool at any Disney resort should definitely be on your grown-up must-do list. All DVC resorts have deluxe pools with waterslides and poolside activities hosted throughout the day. Disney’s Beach Club takes their pool area to the next level with Stormalong Bay. This mini water park is exclusive for guests of Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Featuring a sand-bottomed pool, a 230 foot-long waterslide at the top of a pirate ship, a lazy river, sandy beach, and 3 whirlpool spas, this DVC pool area cannot be beat. Stormalong Bay is also home to 3 leisure pools for those who are seeking a more laid-back swimming experience.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

There are many bars and lounges throughout the DVC resorts that are the perfect location for a grown-up vacation. Many guests enjoy hopping on the monorail and exploring the bars and lounges that can be found throughout the monorail resorts. Disney’s Polynesian Resort is home to a unique bar that many consider to be a top must-do. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto isn’t a basic tiki bar. This immersive lounge is where guests will find the life of the party. Not only are there intricately themed drinks, but the bar has real-life effects that coordinate with each drink ordered. Guests can be enchanted through sound, lights, and other effects as well as lively bartenders that keep the magic going throughout the night.

Enjoy A Meal At A Romantic Destination

Enjoying a romantic meal is a must-do for so many itineraries during their Disney vacation. There are several DVC restaurants that fit the romance vibe perfectly. California Grill sits on a high floor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and provides a sophisticated fine-dining experience with a lovely view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show at night. Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort is another fantastic option for couples who are looking for a classy dining experience, serving European-style food with a rooftop view.

Surrey Bike Rental

A great way to kill some time and reconnect with your inner-child is through a Surrey Bike rental. These “bicycle cars” are fun for all ages but especially grown-ups. Surrey Bikes are available at several DVC resorts including Disney’s Boardwalk, Disney’s Old Key West, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs resort.
