Staying DVC is a great way to elevate your Disney vacation in a magical way. With deluxe accommodations and amenities in spacious villas, DVC resorts are perfect for families or anyone who enjoys staying in luxury comfort. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has DVC accommodations in both Kidani Village and Jambo House. This resort is one of the most intricately themed in all of Disney World thanks to its savanna grounds with animals that you can see from your resort room. Between the pools, animals, and restaurants, guests are certain to have a magical stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you plan on staying DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge then check out these tips for a magical stay.

Stay In A Savanna View Room

All rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge are spacious with great accommodations, but if guests wish to bring a little extra magic to their vacation then staying in a Savanna View room is a great option. Rooms with a Savanna view provide just that: a great view of the animals roaming the savanna below. With these rooms guests can watch animals like zebras and giraffes late into the night, first thing in the morning, and all the time in between.

Take Advantage of Viewing Platforms

If you aren’t staying in a room with a savanna view you can still secure a great view of the animals by sitting on one of the many viewing platforms available throughout the resort. These viewing platforms are located in main spaces like lobbies and near Sanaa restaurant at Kidani Village. They have chairs to relax in while you take in the sights. Guests can view all of the animals on the savanna while they enjoy their morning coffee or late-night cocktail after the parks. There are also some exhibits throughout the resort that guests can view like flamingoes near the Uzima Springs Pool.

Enjoy Nightly Activities

Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to several recreational activities including nightly campfire activities and movies under the stars. Both Kidani Village and Jambo House have campfires nightly, while Uzima Pool at Jambo House hosts movies under the stars after dark.

Eat at Sanaa

Sanaa is a great dining experience that shouldn’t be skipped during your stay at the lodge! Sanaa is located in Kidani Village, and serves African cooking with Indian flavors. During breakfast hours, Sanaa serves a casual quick-service meal with no reservations required. During lunch and dinner Sanaa transforms into a table-service restaurant where advance reservations are highly recommended. Entrees include various curries and other Indian and African flavors. Many guests recommend the Indian-style Bread Service as an appetizer, which includes 5 breads and 9 accompaniments.

Use the Community Hall

Located in Kidani Village, the Community Hall is a great space for guests to hang out and spend time together during off days from the park or rainy days. At the Community Hall guests can find daily arts and crafts and activities, as well as tabletop games, foosball tables, DVD rentals, video games, and more.
