Let’s face it: food at Walt Disney World is EXPENSIVE, but there are ways to save money in the parks. What is the best way to save money? Order substantial meals for your kids! The kid’s meals can be an excellent value for the price because of the portion size. What are the best kid’s meals? Where can you get the best bang for your buck? Great questions. Read on to learn more.
Kid’s Turkey Sandwich
This sandwich is located at Woody’s Lunchbox in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For $7.79, guests will receive a Half-Sandwich with Smoked Turkey, Lettuce, and Tomato with Dijonnaise Spread served chilled on Sunflower Multigrain Bread served with a Cuties® Mandarin, Potato Barrels, and a choice of Beverage. The adult version is $10.79 for the sandwich only. It costs an additional $4.99 for Potato Barrels and $4.49 for an assorted fountain beverage. This sandwich is delicious and filling. When I order the kid’s version of this sandwich, I spend the money I save on a Lunchbox Tart. Lunchbox Tarts are similar to Pop Tarts, but they are unique to Disney. The best part about them is that their delicious seasonal flavors are always changing. My favorite Lunchbox Tart is the Raspberry Tart. For $4.79, guests receive a raspberry marmalade stuffed pastry coated in a strawberry fondant and crispy pearls. Yum!
Kid’s Cheese Pizza
The Kid’s Cheese Pizza is located at Connections Eatery in EPCOT. For $7.79. guests will receive a slice of pizza, a choice of two sides, and a choice of Small low-fat milk or Small DASANI® Bottled Water. While guests only receive one slice of pizza with this option, I found the pizza to be very filling. The adult version is $11.29. It comes with two pieces of pizza only. Unlike the kid’s meal, the pricing does not include a drink or sides.Who doesn’t love pizza? It is a classic dish that is sure to please.
Kid’s Cheeseburger Steamed Pod
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE cheeseburgers. Luckily, I can get my cheeseburger fix when I eat at Satuli Canteen in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. For $8.59, guests can receive a Cheeseburger Pod stuffed with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar. This dish is also served with Vegetable Chips, a Cuties® Mandarin, and a Small DASANI® Bottled Water or low-fat milk. Don’t let the reality that there is only one pod scare you. It is very filling. The adult version of this meal is $13.29. It does not include a drink, but it does include one steamed cheeseburger pod stuffed with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and cheddar cheese served with crunchy vegetable slaw and vegetable chips.
