Did you know you can send and receive mail at Walt Disney World? This small gesture is sure to become a highlight of your next vacation. It is a quick, easy, and affordable way to share the Disney magic with others. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love receiving fun mail!
Postcards, boxes, and letters with applied postage can be mailed from the Front Desk of Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Guests can also send postcards, letters, and boxes to their hotel before the start of their vacation.
If you and your family are receiving mail, I would strongly encourage you to do the following:
- graciously ensure that you have included the correct mailing address of your Disney Vacation Club Resort Hotel.
- kindly write your full name on the envelope or package and the word “GUEST” clearly cited next to your name.
- courteously mark the date of your arrival underneath your name.
Please Understand:
There are set fees for packages that are received through the Front Desk or for packages that are delivered to your Hotel Room. I recommend you refer to the detailed information noted in the Walt Disney World Resort Mail Service resource to familiarize yourself with essential details.
I have included two fun activities that you and your family can do on your next Walt Disney World Resort visit.
- Send Souvenirs Ahead of Your Arrival: I don’t know about you, but my family and I love going to Walt Disney World as much as possible. While buying souvenirs at Walt Disney World is a delightful experience, we also understand how expensive it can be. To cut back on the cost, we will purchase souvenirs like Mickey, Minnie, and Donald plushes or autograph books and have them shipped to our Disney Vacation Club Resort Hotel before our arrival. We ask the front desk to deliver these items to our hotel room. The kids love coming to our room and seeing Mickey, Minnie, and all their friends waiting for them.
- Mail Postcards to Your Home: When my family and I travel to Walt Disney World with young children, the character meet and greets are the highlight. One of our favorite things is purchasing a postcard from our Disney Resort Hotel gift shop. Once we buy the postcards, we bring them to the character meet and greets. We ask the characters to sign the postcards, then we drop them by the Front Desk of our Resort to send them home. This activity is highly recommended. Trust me, your children will love getting mail from Mickey Mouse after the trip ends. It will be a great way to remember your magical vacation.
Note: If you purchase postcards at a Walt Disney World Hotel gift shop, they will not be cheap. If you want to save money, buy a package of Disney-themed postcards on Amazon before your trip to the parks.
I hope this article encourages you to send and receive mail on your next Walt Disney World vacation. Trust me, once you do it, it will become a highlight and delightful routine practice on each trip moving forward.
