Showtimes for Character Cavalcades have been added to the My Disney Experience App! Character Cavalcades were added to Disney World upon its reopening, taking the place of parades and traditional character meet and greets. Previously Disney kept the times for these cavalcades a secret to prevent gathering crowds, but now Disney has released the times so that all can witness the magic of seeing these beloved characters.
Although the typical character meet and greets are still on hiatus, seeing your favorite Disney characters remains one of the most magical experiences in Walt Disney World. Adding the showtimes to the Disney app will make it much easier for guests to plan out their day and to be sure that they see the characters that they have been dreaming of.
When guests type in “Cavalcades” into the My Disney Experience app, a list of all the available showtimes will pop up. Guests can then select one to check when the next mini parade will be heading through.
Although the app currently only shows times for Magic Kingdom, cavalcades are held in each of the four Disney parks, along with other character meet and greets. Like many outdoor Disney attractions, the Cavalcades may be subject to changes due to weather, but now guests can conveniently check the app for updated information.
The addition of these showtimes may be a signal that Cavalcades are becoming a permanent addition to the Disney parks, but we are not complaining. From the Mickey & Friends cavalcade to the Princess cavalcade, there are so many opportunities to see a ton of Disney characters in one convenient place.
