Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the best events of the year at Walt Disney World. This celebration of all things Halloween is a special ticketed event that will be running on select nights from early August to Halloween. Part of what makes Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party so fun is that guests are encouraged to wear costumes. Typically, guests under the age of 14 are not permitted to wear costumes while at the Disney parks. But guests of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary are able to dress up and be creative! There are a few rules to follow still. Costumes may not be violent or offensive in nature, no part of the costume may contain weapons or props of weapons, costumes must not drag to the floor, and no masks of any kind can be worn. If you are planning on attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year, here are 5 great costume ideas!
1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
If you are traveling as a family or with a group then what better costume than a tribute to a classic Disney film? Groups of 7 or 8 guests can easily recreate this look with colored t-shirts, hats, and white beards. This costume can be done with or without Snow White. Don’t forget to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and enjoy your on-ride photo.
2. Haunted Mansion Ghosts
Many guests enjoy taking inspiration from park attractions for their costumes. The Haunted Mansion is an attraction that has endless opportunities for costumes. Guests can easily dress up as a ghost or ghoul from this attraction using white clothing and makeup. There are parade characters that are inspired by this attraction as well and are sure to give guests a fright!
3. Disney Villains
Many guests love the Disney villains like Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters. What better time to pretend to be the baddie than Halloween? Cinderella’s stepsisters have a look that can be easily recreated with pink and purple, or green and blue dresses, as well as coordinating ribbons and accessories.
4. Disney Pirates
Magic Kingdom’s Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is the perfect inspiration for guests during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Guests can dress up as a Disney pirate by copying outfits they see on the attraction and using accessories like pirate hats and plush parrots.
5. Indiana Jones
If you are a fan of Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular in Hollywood Studios, or just an Indy fan in general, then dressing up as Indiana Jones is a great costume that is quick and easy. All you need is a hat, a leather jacket, a brown shirt, and a brown pants. Additional accessories can be used to really complete the look like a satchel bag.
