Disney World is an intricate theme park and it is known to have incredible detail throughout the parks. Disney Imagineers think of everything from basic stories to intricate design. Disney attractions tell a story from the queue to the ending of the attraction. Nothing is accidental, and every little detail adds up. Even things that might not seem like much, like the walking paths, are purposely placed and thought out to tell the bigger story. If you are someone who loves searching for detail then keep an eye out for these 5 Disney attractions with hidden details.

1. Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom

One of the Disney Imagineer’s most intricate work is at the Haunted Mansion attraction. This attraction is full of detail, and they begin the moment you enter the queue. When you walk in the line for this attraction you’ll notice that you slowly begin to enter a graveyard. If you look closely at the headstones and other decorations, you’ll see hidden details in what is written on them. The headstones reference Disney Imagineers like Yale Gracey. Upon exiting the attraction you’ll notice a pet cemetery where you can spy a figure of Mr. Toad.

2. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom

Another attraction full of hidden details is Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom. This ride is unique because guests can spin their ride vehicle a full 360 degrees as they shoot at targets and enemies throughout the attraction. There are many hidden targets located in this attraction that give you higher points than usual. There is a special hidden target in the ride that gives you 100,000 points! Another hidden detail that observant guests can find is that the sign for the attraction is in the same shape as the sign for Delta Dreamflight which closed in 1998 to make way for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

3. Disneyland’s The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Disneyland’s version of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction has a very special hidden detail. Disneyland’s Country Bear Jamboree show closed down in order to make room for Winnie the Pooh. As you exit the Heffalumps and Woozles dream sequence, look behind you. There you’ll find the Melvin, Buff, and Max heads from the Country Bears attraction.

4. Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Hidden details are everywhere at Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom. This roller coaster tells an intricate story of the legend of the forbidden mountain. As guests walk through the queue they’ll see details throughout that indicate that there is a yeti monster loose on the mountain. Guests walk through shrines, and “artifacts” detailing the monsters terror before they enter the ride.

5. Toy Story Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Another attraction full of hidden detail is Toy Story Mania. Located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the details are so subtle that you don’t notice until you are halfway through the queue. Things begin to get bigger and bigger, and the items around you become progressively more toy-like until you’ve been totally transported to the world of toys!
