Why You Should Visit Magic Kingdom In The Fall

Halloween

The air is cool and delicate. A sweet aroma of cinnamon & nutmeg fills the air. Mickey pumpkin wreaths around every corner. It is finally autumn in the Magic Kingdom! While others may argue the best time to visit Disney World is in the winter, I will be stating reasons in this article why the fall is the elite season to visit the park.

Delicious Fall Snacks

If you are an autumn aficionado, then you know fall at the Magic Kingdom means all things pumpkin. You can pick up a tasty pumpkin spice latte or a flavorful apple crisp chai latte at the Main Street bakery. Joffrey’s cart offers a cold brew with pumpkin spiced foam and festive sprinkles. There are new flavors around the park during this season such as candy corn soft serve (Auntie Gravity’s), a Minnie-shaped cinnamon roll (Main St. Bakery), Orangesicle popcorn (Main St. Confectionery), Ghoul ice cream sandwich (Plaza Ice cream Parlor), and a layered pumpkin cake (Plaza Restaurant). These are just a few of the new, delicious fall flavors and the only time you can enjoy these is during this season!

Less Crowds

The best months to visit Magic Kingdom in the fall is in September and the beginning weekdays of October & November. The crowds are small since most children are back in school, so many appreciate the fall time for this reason. While there are a couple of holidays during these months, it is important to note that the crowd level will not compare to those in the winter or summer months.

Cooler Weather

The weather is an extremely important factor when planning a visit to the Magic Kingdom in Florida, since the climate can change from rainy to a blistering sun. Typically, the weather during the autumn season calls for warm days, and cool nights. There are instances where Florida gets a cold front in these months, so pack a light jacket or a hoodie for these unexpected days.

Fall Merchandise And Décor

The autumnal atmosphere is completely enthralling once you enter the Magic Kingdom. The streets are lined with Mickey pumpkin wreaths, orange and yellow banners and fall flowers peeking out from the hedges. If you love the color orange, then you are in for a treat as most of the merch is themed to fall events and celebrations. The Mickey ears during this time are perfectly themed to the season, as well as the backpacks, shirts, jerseys, jackets and merchandise being sold.

I appreciate when Disney World decorates and offers snacks that celebrate a particular season. They are known for their well-themed decor and their efforts to celebrate our earth’s harvest.  If you have the opportunity to visit Magic Kingdom, then I hope, dear reader, these reasons motivate you to see the park in all its Autumn glory; you will not regret it!

She has visited the Disney Parks over 100 times and on different continents! Her love of Disney goes hand in hand with her love of reading, which has motivated her through the years to become a zealous writer. She hopes that whatever she does helps her community. After all, with a little faith, trust, and pixie dust, anything is possible!
