Hilton Head

Picking a vacation destination for families with teens can be complicated, but with Disney’s destinations it doesn’t have to be! If you’re worried that your teenager has outgrown Disney vacations then we highly recommend taking a look at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort. This resort is located in South Carolina, which is 5 hours from Disney World resort in Florida. This beach resort gives you all the comforts and magic of a Disney vacation with the relaxation and fun of a beach trip. If you need your teenagers to be entertained during your vacation this year then continue reading to learn more about why Disney’s Hilton Head Island is perfect for teenagers.

Hilton Head Island and Things to Do

One of the biggest benefits to staying at Disney’s Hilton Head Island is the location. Going off property and exploring Hilton Head Island is a major perk for families with teens. Hilton Head Island is full of restaurants, places to play, and things to do and see. Families with teens and older kids can more easily explore the surrounding island than families with small kids and toddlers. If you need a way to keep your teenagers entertained beyond the beach and pool then exploring Hilton Head Island is a great way to do that.

The Beach and Disney’s Beach House

Another reason why you should take your teens to Disney’s Hilton Head Island is the beach and Disney’s Beach House. Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort doesn’t have a beach within walking distance and instead guests must take a complimentary shuttle or bike. This is easier with teenagers than with small children which is why this beach resort is such a great spot for families with older kids. Disney’s Beach House is located on the beach and guests of Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort are welcome to use it. The Beach House has its own pool, towels, and an indoor lounge complete with air-conditioning, televisions, indoor games, and seating. This is the perfect place for your teens to relax!

Activities and Programs

When you check in to your resort you can ask the front desk for a list of that week’s activities and programs. There are several options that your teenagers will love including tie-dye, poolside games like trivia and bingo, and more. Guests can also rent fishing and crabbing equipment and take fishing classes and more.

Dolphin Tours

For an additional cost, you can take your family on a wonderful dolphin discovery cruise. Your teenager will love this activity of a lifetime. The tour runs for about an hour and a half, and reservations must be made ahead of time. Other coastal tours and excursions could be available during your vacation. Interested guests should inquire with the front desk after check-in to see what is available during their stay.
