Anyone can truly become a cook when it comes to Epcot’s upcoming attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Shrinking down to Remy’s size, guests are sure to go on a wild adventure that’s like no other. This attraction originates from Walt Disney Studios in Paris and opened in March of 2013. Pixar and theme park fans have been excited for this attraction to open at Epcot since the announcement at D23 in 2017. In Ratatouille, Remy says, “The only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability.” Thanks to its predecessor some of us know what to expect from Epcot’s new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Read below to see what’s in store for this fun, new ride coming to Epcot’s France Pavilion.
Guests will enter the attraction through the famous Gusteau’s Restaurant. Once guests make it inside, they will be brought to the rooftops of Paris in the blink of an eye. The “City of Light” will seem a lot bigger than guests could have imagined because now they are the size of a rat!
In order to get this unique perspective, guests will board their very own ratmobile. A ratmobile is a vehicle shaped like a rat with whiskers and all. Once guests meet up with Remy and the spirit of Gusteau, it will be time to start their rodent-esque journey.
When guests meet Remy and Gusteau, they share their mission of wanting to make the perfect dish for all those riding. Of course they decide on the famous ratatouille dish and they need guests’ help to prepare it. Once the ratmobiles enter the restaurant, they cause a scare and reactions of disgust from the humans in the restaurant. This is when the race begins. The ratmobile takes guests around the ins and outs of the restaurant from the kitchen to even the walls inside. Guests will find themselves in some sticky situations that will bring many thrills throughout the ride.
One of the coolest things about this new attraction is the fact that it’s a trackless attraction. That’s right, trackless! The ride path is similar to the technology seen at Hollywood Studios’ newest attraction, Mickey’s Runaway Railroad. In Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, guests will feel like their experience is a little different each time they ride because the vehicles move in different sequences. With the new Disney attractions opening all over the world, there are more trackless rides being implemented than ever.
My Thoughts On Riding Ratatouille
When I experienced Ratatouille at Walt Disney Studios in Paris I felt like it was a perfect attraction for any age. This is definitely a family friendly ride that will be a great addition to Epcot. Whether you’ve seen the movie Ratatouille or not, the storyline will be fun and easy for anyone to understand. It’s also genuinely exciting to experience the advanced technology of trackless attractions and the innovative ride vehicles. Remy’s Ratatouille Ride is an adventure worth waiting for and I can’t wait to ride it again at Disney’s Epcot.
